Poorly – update.

All was set.
Up early, nip into the bath then ease back into the land of the living. What could possibly go wrong.

Woke up at 12.30am, then again at half two, then again at four, then up with alarm at half six.
OK, we can keep going.
Eye sockets very dry, neck and shoulders aching, sore hip (with coughing) and dripping with sweat.

Not a problem, once I’ve eaten and had a dip, then I’ll be good to go, right?
Wrong.

Could only manage about half a bowl of cornyflakes, then a quick swig of a cold brew and into the bath.
Only a lukewarm one. Oh dear.
Within 10 mins it became clear it wasn’t going to help any with the sweating.
On phone (you are number 16 in the queue) for the docs.
Went through that past six days of roughness, “Can you get here for ten? We need to give you a full check over!”

Signed off for a week, with heavy dosage of anti-biotics, to counter a respiratory infection and my blood pressure is sky high! (I could buy a monitor to use at home, but ours are free with a three months waiting list…)
One bonus, the pain in my arse-cheek is due to the coughing (probably) and damaging the sciatic nerve.

If it doesn’t ease in a week, you can come in for some physio.

Joy. Far too busy to be ill.
