How do they do it?

It’s been a few weeks of house and garden repair and revamping on the street, while the rain has stayed away.
Fine weather, I get that.

Yet all our work and extra effort and tlc, has been at weekends and after work for an hour or two.
For others, not so much.

Full fence repainting, two coats, completed in two days.
Solar lights, paid for lawn trimming and edging.
All looks good.
But without work to slow everything down, how is this possible?

Shed painting, inside and out, again all completed in a day or two.
Car on the street, no working to get in the way.
How do they do it?

I sweat my nads off, every working day, with extra free hours on top, each week, yet still don’t have enough brass to splash out on new fence paint. When I get home, I’m usually spent, good for nowt.
Occasionally I’ll manage an hour or so of house graft, but not much more.
Not had a holiday away for what will be eight years this summer, not a weekend away either. Best I could muster would be a day out and then only if the funding allows.

So how do people not only manage without work, but also thrive on it, having a car, insurance, rent paid and more importantly, time?
I don’t have time to piss from around 10am till gone 3pm most days.
I must be missing a trick somewhere…
